    • No Better GM Truck Out There

These are by far the most reliable - used trucks you will find on the market. Don't buy an 07 or newer, too many mechanical and electrical problems. GM has never been the same since the 03-06 trucks. Ultra reliable, easy to get parts, timeless body style, great work horse. Crew cabs will pull 19-20 mpg on the highway no problem (with stock suspension/wheels).
    • Great value and reliability

This has been a really reliable truck for me. I bought it with a little over 133k miles on it and it has provided a lot of value compared to the cost of operation. I pulled a big trailer pretty frequently and it handled it pretty well for its size but of course the fuel economy suffered. Overall though the fuel economy is about as good as you can expect from any truck in its class. The ABS does have a tendency to go out on these trucks in the high 100k - low 200k range and I've had a bad oil seal between the engine and transmission for quite awhile but it's fairly cheap to just add a bit of oil every now and then. Overall, I would say maintenance costs to amount of work performed is very reasonable.
